Decided to take advantage of the time change and take off for an evening trip after work.

Saw ALOT of boats/kayaks out on the water but I was able to find one of my spots empty. Sun went down and the bite picked up for me anyways, not so for my fishing partner Smile .

The paddle back was interesting in the dark, with snakes and rogue mullet trying to jump out of the water right at my headlight!!!!!

I brought home some nice drum.......The top 5 are my stringer......the bottom 4 were my buddy's.

Not really sure, it was in the dark and I barely saw it. It was around 3 ft long....i just slapped at it once with my paddle to warn it off and powered on past him.

Ive heard of rattle snakes floating and trying to climb into boats....so I wasnt interested in finding out what it was.....just wanted to be away lol

Kayaks are required to have one white light with 360 view. I usually just use an LED lantern behind my seat and I wear a 100 lumen LED headlamp.

Those rattlers are all over baffin, had one climb the back of my yak at DP and another found its way in my drift sock a few weeks back, nice surprise when i pulled it up and a 4 footer slipped out back into the water o.O
