Does anyone know of a place in the Corpus area that will troubleshoot/repair a Gramin GPS unit?

Contacted Garmin and they said that due to the unit being discontinued, they would not repair.

Thanks in advance,
Steve

With the price of GPS units so low now, are you sure it's even worth the trouble? The repairs might be more than it's worth.

Just won't power up.
I verified power at the plug, cleaned all the pins and still won't power.

While I understand the cost could be larger than a new one, it may be something as simple as a power button which would be much cheaper than a new one.

The internal battery may be dead. That was my problem. I did not ask them I just sent it to them for repair. The sent me back a rebuilt unit. Mine was also out of date. So if worse comes to worse send it to Garmin they are really good about customer service.
