How sad, HIP was one of the first people that I met back in the early '60s.
Really alot of fun to be around and a good fisherman. I was in contact with him until the last couple of years. Gonna' miss talking to him.
RIP "HIP"........Thanks for being my Friend.

Just got an email earlier this week from his son who hadn't spoken to him in 20 years. He didn't know if he was alive or dead. I hate to have to tell him via email. _________________ Like Corpusfishing.com on Facebook! |

Dying is sad; not knowing your son is worse. _________________ Ray |

I have been caring for Hip for a number of years now and was with him along with his daughter when he passed away from lung cancer. Mike was a very close friend of mine from when I first met him on Texas Shark Fishing.
I miss him terribly and am heartbroken from his passing. Even though he and I both knew it was coming it is still never easy when it actually comes to pass.
I loved him like a Father and Brother and I am at peace since I know he is no longer in pain and I will see him again when it is my time to leave this world and go to the big shark fishing beach in the great beyond.
There will be a memorial service on the National Seashore later this year and I will post up the dates in the near future. _________________ Proud Founding Member of the Port A Holes |
