Is it legal to catch crabs and then use them for bait?
Was wanting to catch some live crab and run them out on my slide line from the pier in hopes of catching big Cobia and Tarpon later in the year. |

Mike,
it said 5 inches for bule crabs and 5% may be smaller for bait... I dont see 5 inch crabs sold at bait stand, they are smaller....????
I saw a guy hook the foot of a crab and let it swim,,,, another just cut one in half.... how do you use them? _________________ Happy Hook'n

The 5% means you have to catch 20 keeper sized crabs to keep one under 5" and they have to be in separate containers....
They sell the quarter sized crabs but they are expensive _________________
