I plan on coming down Friday for the Saturday clean up followed by a few days camping and fishing. While I'm down there I will be looking at some of the many property's on the Island that I have seen for sale on-line for example; Leeward Isle, Beach Haven, Nautilus Galleria, Pirates Crossing, Eagle Run and Anchor Resort. I have construction experience and can tell a dump when I see it, that is not a problem. I would appreciate if anyone that has experience with management or the people that live in any or all of these places could steer me away from the bad ones. Thanks. L

Call Cheri Sperling at Coastline Properties and ask her. She attends many of the homeowners meetings and can tell you which ones to stay away from. Speaking from experience there are good associations and very bad ones as well.

Condos have their pros and cons. Personally, I don't like them because you have no control over the budget or priorities for rehab, maintenance, association fees, etc. If you buy one make sure it can be rented out on a short term basis.

Charlie Knoll at Coldwell Banker out on the Island may also be able to help you out. Went to high school with him and he is a good man. Plus he likes to fish so you got something in common with him already.

I used to do vending at the anchor and dealt with management regularly. Always seemed friendly to me but who doesn't like the snack guy when he gives out free stuff lol
