I saw a guy catch this fish today at BHP. I swear it looked like a small bonefish. Is that what it is?

That's what I'da thought it was if I caught it. It looks like a small bonefish. I know they are caught here on rare occasions.

Maybe someone else can tell you for sure.

That's definately a bonefish. It would be awesome to start a population here in Texas. You catch one of those and you'll throw rocks at redfish for the rest of your life. If you want to see what one looks like in person, check with John Glenn. He has two that should be done any day now.

It does look very similar to a bonefish, but it is really hard to believe a bonefish would be in our waters in late November. Is it really a bonefish? Absolutlely unreal if it is!!! What was it caught on? I know when we were down in Belize.....those little suckers loved conch and peeled shrimp. Very interesting to say the least!!!!

while rare, bonefish are found occasionally in our waters. If it looks like a bonefish, it is a bonefish. There are no other fish that it could be confused with.

Saw one about 3-4lbs caught about 5yrs ago in Rockport on a Shirmp tail fished under a cork on the estes flats (water was gin clear, calm, and it was 'tailing'.)

My dad's friend caught and released it...no one ever believes me without pics, but I saw the dang thing!

Nice catch, very rare.

Wow! Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

A bonefish from Bob Hall Pier! Who would have thunk it!

A few more of those reports and we will end up with fly fishermen everywhere!

Sure would be cool if a population got started here. Very Happy
