Born and raised in Corpus Christi (calallen) and moved out to Austin in 2003 for school. My parents still live there in CC and since my dads heart attack he hasnt been able to launch the boat on his own. I wanna get him on some fish this week and I am wondering whats the best approach. We have a 20 ft center console and have fished the ICW my whole life but with limited results. Not asking for anybodys honey holes but I wanna get the old man on some fish. Any advice is appreciated fellas.

They have been tearing up trout and flounderby pita island. Also close by you can hook keeper and oversized drum in the humble channel. Good luck!

I have done well in the housing canals, but that might not be a good idea while its hot outside. I have heard lots of good reports about the humble. I seem to be catching fish everywhere except there. Maybe I am doing something wrong?

drift between the pure oil chanel and pita island. Throw just about anything and you will get some fish. It is plety deep for just about any boat. _________________

What kind of retrieve have you been using on the drifts? I have my TTF chartreuse/glow and I am ready to use them.

I have done very well drifting anywhere from Pita Island all the way to Pure Oil Channel lately. In the past couple weeks, bouncing lures off the bottom has produced Large Flounder.... With a bit faster retrieve, plenty of trout. My lure of choice has been the Gulp Split Tail 5" White or Glow with Chartruese.

You might want to check with Tyler.......I try to do a fishing report for the board weekly. Tyler will post the report under the Laguns Madre fishing reports. I try to give everyone an idea of what, when and where.
He might need to update.
