Take some trash bags with you. Last time we drive down there it looked like a landfill area. Broken bottles, dirty TP, diapers, styrofoam containers, fast food bags, blah blah blah..... Need to have a cleanup day down there, but that would probably encourage more trash drop off! Sorry for the rant Smile

good luck gator theyre catchn alot of drum there and at site 55. Yes there is alot of trash out in those 2 areas. thats why they want to close those areas down.

Here we go! The way people treat drum point and site 55 is disgusting! They had a big clean up day before at drum point and two things happned

They NEVER did anything with the trashbaggs for months! The wildlife went and tore the trash apart and it just got spread out again

and 2

some people are freaking pigs and just litter it up again

Ive pulled up before to big fire pits dug into the already little parking area with the fire still going and beer cans thrown in

a Group of guys were wading across the end to the other side to fish all night
i left them there and when i came back the next morning it was BAD
propane tanks everywhere beer cans scatterred with cigaret buds all over with the packaging
when i finished the day they were coming back and i took all pvc the rod holders they left there for there convenience
When i ran into the gamewarden the next few days we had a talk about those guys and how hes had to ticket them before

They do have drum point marked to be fenced up soon because of the littering

Site 55 has trashcans now but they never freaking go to pick up the trash its ridiculous, and then you have idiots who think its funny to throw a box of nails all over the entrance of 55

heard drum point has been producing a bit

55 has been slow for drum but thats by my 50 drum a night standards

been seeing a few nice stringers of 4 or 5 but just a few

this front should really heat up things though

Two bank fishing locations on baffin bay...directions i have no idea lol i just know how to drive there

With all the talk of closing down areas & or restricting how we use them. Those guys are just using their rights to use drum point as they want & can. If they have a boat that can get & blast across the very shallow flats. That gives them the right. If those guys have monster trucks that are bad enough to burn down Pins at 60 plus, that's their right. It would also be their right to go on the backside of Pins & have some major fun throwing mud. The bigger the ruts the more fun. So are our freedom to use these places being taken away by government ? Or by those who blast across the flats cause they got a boat that says they can. I do not kayak or wade. I have a power boat. I wish I had answer. If it was my property & people abused the " privilege " I would have a fence up. Thanks to ya'all that still pick up, fix ,& enjoy this beautiful part of the world, remembering it is a privilege to see beauty.
