Stopped about a mile past Bob Hall yesterday morning around 7 and fished till ten or so.

Started out fishing the second gut with shrimp/fishbite combo and was only catching small whiting so moved in to the first gut and immediately landed a really nice sized Pompano. Moved all my rods in and ran out of shrimp and ended up with 7 nice whiting and 8 Pompano.

Nice dinner you're going to have, good job.

Nice job there John. Water got progressively rougher as the day went on. Glad you were able to get some nice fish.

I've made that point many times in the past, often getting ridiculed. I don't understand.......................... if you have more than one rod why not try close in too, or even if you don't. You never know what's there until you fish it!!! Wink

Once I fished the surf zone of north FPJ in the wade gut, from the jetties, and absolutely wore out BIG croaker!!! I'm talking fish in the 16"+ range!!! Shocked And yes, they were a beautiful golden color!
