Stopped about a mile past Bob Hall yesterday morning around 7 and fished till ten or so.
Started out fishing the second gut with shrimp/fishbite combo and was only catching small whiting so moved in to the first gut and immediately landed a really nice sized Pompano. Moved all my rods in and ran out of shrimp and ended up with 7 nice whiting and 8 Pompano.

| Nice job there John. Water got progressively rougher as the day went on. Glad you were able to get some nice fish. |

I've made that point many times in the past, often getting ridiculed. I don't understand.......................... if you have more than one rod why not try close in too, or even if you don't. You never know what's there until you fish it!!!
Once I fished the surf zone of north FPJ in the wade gut, from the jetties, and absolutely wore out BIG croaker!!! I'm talking fish in the 16"+ range!!! And yes, they were a beautiful golden color! _________________ Dave
