Got into a school of sand trout fishing the Humble channel this afternoon. I took a couple of friends and a newbie fishing and boating for the first time. While it was damp and cold, nothing could dampen this young man's excitement. Latimer Malindwa, 26 caught his first fish and drove his first boat today. We also schooled him on stretching the truth about fish size. I have never seen someone so happy. I know he is hooked on fishing. He has the fever and I gave it to him.

I got a nice 16" Sandy tonight on a DOA tied off the a humble bridge. Couldnt keep the lure in the water fast enough.
