Warning: the following report contains a exciting fishing adventure do not read if you are at work or there is a lightning storm outside! A/T is not liable for injuries you receive from attempting to recreate this adventure...unless you catch then its totally my fault
Got to first say that Kayak wars is a great tournament, its all for fun but gets extremely competitive. Made a lot of cool friends this year and met a lot of great kayak fisherman. I got a kayak specifically to do this tournament and it was the best decision in my fishing career..
Caught my first of many redfish on a artificial....
Some solid bulls...
Caught my biggest trout on a artificial...
Just to catch a bigger one 15 minutes later...
Got to fish BTB...
and of course you cant forget the drum
I learned more about fishing this year then i ever though there was to learn....Thanks to Mudmauler, Youngsta, Jet, and Ambusher...you were busy all year but your a young gun none the less ....appreciate you letting me join the team this year MM got to rep that Team Oso! :coolgleamA:
Now as for this month ive been quiet on the reports trying to catch Team Rockstar...we were about 55 fish behind.....they kept posting points and fishing for reds was tough...managed the 50 Drum in 3 days of cold fishing that involved getting blindsided by a cold front...
fished these highwinds the past few days for reds and trout...couldn't find the 20"+ trout and reds were being finicky when i needed them most...tonight got dangerous with lightning over head and tomorrow will be worse so thats all from me...
Now all through the year ive been posting how i have 25+, 45+, 70+, even 100+ drum nights...every now and then i get a "quit lying" message on other forums of people that think that the thought of me catching that many keeper drum in a single trip is just for show....
To that i say, just because you cant catch that many blackdrum...doesnt mean that i cant....
Figured it would be fitting to end my "end of the kw year" report with a short video of what i had to deal with every night i slayed the drum....

as many hours you put on the water I think you earned it. Good year. _________________ Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.
