went to an auction in Odem today... Met the owner yesterday really nice guy. Figured there might be some deals to be had went back today and watched people buy used guns at over new prices and 30% over there current value. Also watched people pay 6.00 each for mercury dimes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are only worth 2.34 each. Watched a 2800 dollar gold coin sell for 3600.... It was bananas!!! I might bring my stuff to sell there even after paying 20% it would still be worth it.....
The auctioneer/owner makes 30% on every sale which to me means that lucky entrepreneur makes a killing being that I estimate he sold at least 30,000 today!!!!!!! I might have to become a licensed auctioneer one day!!!!!! |

been there a few times and agree the uninformed drive the prices past the value quite a bit, but have seen the same on ebay. still a nice way to spend a saturday if not fishing.
