I would have posted this in " off topic " but I thought it was to important so i posted here for everyone to see...

Just got back from a month long vacation and saw the protected sea grass debate and saw this info as I was getting updated on the economic meltdown...

I have done the best I could to educate those who would listen about
AGENDA 21 and here is more evidence of it in your back yard.

PINS is a UNITED NATIONS protected area, I recommend watching the entire video, it actually mentions PINS as listed. Hope you catch the increase in protected areas mentioned in just the space of 6 years and Hope this helps with the battle you fight to keep pins open.

good luck CWB

no it's not. it is on the United Nations list of protected areas...the one they compile of all the world's protected natural areas. calling it a United Nations protected area is giving some false idea that the United Nations has anything to do with the protection or running of PINS.

Thank you for posting Franklin, I was a bit frustrated that no one responded to what I thought was bombshell info, but after reading your reply it dawned on me that almost everyone might be saying the same thing you did, so i will clarify. thank you

You will not find any memo or record of someone from the United Nations making an email or phone call to the park rangers at PINS to set policy, its called " compartmentalization (?) or whatever".

Just info from wikipedia:

Agenda 21 is an action plan of the United Nations (UN) related to sustainable development and was an outcome of the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1992. It is a comprehensive blueprint of action to be taken globally, nationally and locally by organizations of the UN, governments, and major groups in every area in which humans directly affect the environment.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I could be wrong but I believe this is the organization that designated PINS as a protected area:

The International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN) is an international organization dedicated to finding "pragmatic solutions to our most pressing environment and development challenges."[1] The organization publishes the IUCN Red List, compiling information from a network of conservation organizations to rate which species are most endangered.[2]

The IUCN supports scientific research, manages field projects all over the world and brings governments, non-government organizations, United Nations agencies, companies and local communities together to develop and implement policy, laws and best practice.

* 1956: Name changed from International Union for the Preservation of Nature (IUPN) to the International Union for the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN)
* 1959: UNESCO decides to create an international list of Nature Parks and equivalent reserves, and the United Nations Secretary General asks the IUCN to prepare this list

===========================================

there is more info there that people should read. I mean it all sounds good and stuff, conservation, helping the environment, ect... But the point I did not clarify was that if PINS gets taken away, it is because of the UN and there policy of agenda 21. The reality is that it is one GIGANTIC LOSS of Sovereignty. Americans aren't deciding whether or not to close PINS, it is being forced upon you by INTERNATIONAL entities under the guys of saving the environment. So your not fighting against the american government to keep it open, your fighting the agenda of the UN. But it probably doesn't matter anymore cause many financial people believe that they will close the national parks when the dollar collapses, so which ever comes first i guess.

anyways, i'm not ranting, just thought this was super cool information.
