Late report, I realize !

Hit PINS last Monday. Excited to get a little fishing done after a week of retail madness. The person running the front gate warned me of the dangers of the red tide, kindly handed me an informative brochure on the effects of red tide and dogs (we did have our two fishing dogs with us). I explained that the dogs were on the water quite often, and we would make sure that they were leashed, and not eating rotting fish etc....

I asked the guard how the fishing was. His reply was " The guy who writes for Corpus Fishing.com said that it wasn't worth even trying. Not the greatest report, but after the drive, we decided to ignore the negative future predicion

We paid the 10 bucks, proceeded to an empty beach, and had a wonderful trip. Two large Black Drum, 2 slot reds, 3 giant Pompano, many whiting. I felt like showing the guard the full ice chest upon exiting the park, but headed home for some grilled fish !

You never know until you hit the beach. You never know until you wet a hook !

No redtide effects, no dead fish, no odor, great day on the beach !

Looking foreword to Monday - back at the beach !

Sherkus !

I was thinking the same thing. Report as much red tide as you can, keep the land locked Texans from coming down and potlickin..
