After reading the paper, finishing the puzzles and eating breakfast I decided to treat myself to a birthday fishing trip. Being that the red tide was back in the surf with a vengeance I headed to Pita. With the winds from the SSW I went to the flats east of Pita and set up a drift. Being I had no where to go and all day to get there I just drifted. Was throwing my usual tequila gold eels and jrs. By the end of the drift I had 10 keeper trout and 1 red. The ratio of dinks to keepers was 5/1. Yes that equals 50 trout. At least! A fun way to spend a birthday.

Happy early birthday. Too bad you can't hit the water to celebrate yours.

Glad you found them. I took the boys back out yesterday morning and drifted between Pita and Stripes, where we found good numbers on Sarurday. It was much slower for us.

Saw 4-5 yakkers working that area when we went to Wigglers to trailer the boat.
