Hit the surf about 7AM and it was great. Light wind no red tide fresh salt air sprinkled with a little rotting fish odor. Hardly even notice the rotting smell. Caught a huge sting ray that I couldnt land, finally had to wade out and very carfully find and step on the tail so I could remove the hook. A beautiful sunrise. Total for the day was a nice fat 23 inch spec and a 25 inch red with a 32 inch bull thrown in for good measure (released).

Good Job Rabbit! What was the bait of choice, live or fresh dead? I'm glad to see nature cleaning itself up. Are the Kings still near the beach where you can kayak out and find them?

Surf was too rough for kayaking, I used live mullet and was off beach access rd 2.

You've got more guts than I have. If I had hooked that stingray he would be swimming around with a hook and short leader still in his mouth. No way I would step on his tail to hold it down. Smile
