Hit beach about 430 friday afternoon. Tide was going out,but the water was way up on the beach. Driving wasn't to bad. I stoped at about 18 miles down beach. I figured the water was going to get pretty high on beach. My buddy showed about 9 that night. Just in time to help me get blacktip in. It was about 4ft long. Caught 1 red to small. Went to bed and my air mattress devolped a leak in it and had to sleep just on top of it. Boy that ground is hard. The next morning was up at daybreak. Started catching reds on first cast. Fish bit till about 2 o;clock then they quit. I caught 2 blacktips and 5 reds. My buddy caught 9 reds. He ended up with three reds and one oversize 41 inches. I released the sharks and I had 3 keeper reds and 1 oversized red 39 inches. We left about 6 o'clock and the driving was good on the high banks but when we came off high banks the driving was terrible. From about 16 miles to 5 miles took us 90 minutes. NO road or maybe one truck had gone out. 5 miles an hour is about all you could go. I'v seen bad driving on the beach before but not like this time. Maybe it will be better next week.

I was laughing at your air mattress going flat. It's amazing how hard that ground is. You would think in powdery sand it would be fairly soft. Rolling Eyes How was the water clarity?
