Finally found time to hit the water since my return. All last week I was putting on a volleyball camp in Alice from 8:30AM-4PM, played softball Tues. and Wed. night, helped put on a 2 hr VB clinic at Ben Garza on Thurs. and spent all day Sat. getting the house in order.

Mary and I got to the surf to see the sunrise.

This is the first of 3 reds . One was 27.75 and the other 2 were 30".

This is a 34" shark I also caught. When I hooked it it became very acrobatic, jumping and spinning. It was fun to fight.

Also caught 3 mega-size gafftop.

Here's Mary pretending.

She has to start back to work at Moody in the AM, but she'll be able to join me on my fishing excursions full time starting Jan. Retirement date!!! Hooray.

Good job on the sunrise reds. I was also out at that time, down at the North Sticks. The reds were not home but I did manage some nice pompano and some humongous(sp?) whiting. I would have been pleased with the shark also as they are good marinated and grilled. Had some trout blow up on a topwater but could not land them.

PS:
Looking at the sticks in your pics, may I ask what they are for? I saw something similar to your truck come out at the sticks and stop at the dumpster this morning. The back end was loaded down with some very long poles and I wondered if they were for a tepee(seriously)!
Thanks,
Mike

I like the fishing shirt. It has splatters and stuff.
Plus those fish didn't catch themselves.
Fantastic report sir.

Funny you mentioned the shirt, Damo. My wife made me throw it away before we headed home.
