You may want to attend the meeting before assuming that you will be able to fish that structure.

I wish I could attend. (Wifey is out of town, I have the kiddos). Put in a good word for me. I wonder how they would enforce a no fish zone around the towers. It's going to be a vast amount of water covered and it's not like they can fence it off. I would venture to guess that initially they would try to keep anglers away , but in the long run they wouldn't be able to.

I think that they may consider it a security issue. You can't get close to coal plants, nuclear plants, etc. so I could see them making it off limits. As for enforcement, my guess would be penalties so stiff that few would consider risking it. Of course, this is all speculation on my part. If anyone has questions, please consider attending the meeting as there will be plenty of opportunities to ask.

they could enforce a perimeter pretty easily with a radar system that is monitored from another location....

just another difference between "green" energy and conventional.... people have fished offshore rigs for years, but all of the "green" energy is too good to allow people to benefit in any other way.

I didn't get a chance to go did anyone else attend? If so how did they address the question about whether or not we would be able to fish the structures?

Yes, but you will need to buy a ticket from me. The cost on the ticket is
$100.00 per day or $1000.00 per year. Razz

Is this electricity going to be used here or somewhere else? If somewhere else then they need to build it close to that place/city so they can see it.
