I usually buy the cheap Magellan shirts but this time went all out and bought a TX A&M columbia fishing shirt. I have worn it twice and already missing 3 buttons. $39 is a lot for cheap and it has nothing to do with the fact it is maroon.

The burnt orange ones don't lose their buttons. Laughing

Even though it has been through the wash, have you tried to return it with the explanation? Academy can surprise you sometimes.

Strange .... I would have expected them to lose at least 5-7 of them.

I've never encountered that problem. I'd think if you let Colombia know they will be responsive.

I'm A 3x Tall wearing guy, so my Columbia Shirt was about 60 bucks 40 on sale I think. My cousins $12 fishing shirt had more vents along its side than mine. I found a few Megellan shirts at Academy that would fit, fathers day sale 12 bucks, come on. Have yet to break them in. Had to give a nice burnt orange Columbia fishing shirt to my cousin too tight on me, I bought it in Austin but bought the wrong size, had come cool UT logos.

I've had the same experience. I've popped buttons off new Columbia, Magellan, and Bimini Bays

I don't know about y'all, but I have yet to find ANY vented "fishing shirt" which actually allows sweat to pass through so that it can evaporate and cool as is desired. I have tried Columbia and Magellan, and both bead water, which by default means that happens on the inside too!!!! I wind up feeling like I'm in plastic bag instead of a cloth shirt!!!!! Shocked Embarassed Rolling Eyes

I wear long sleeve, white cotton T shirts for all of my outdoor activities, and they're great! If It gets really hot it's a simple matter of getting the shirt wet and then wringing most of the water out and then putting it back on. Feels like a mild AC!!! Very Happy

Vents are WAY over rated IMHO. They are totally useless when the shirt is sticking to your wet, sweaty skin!!!

When I lived down there I quickly learned that everyone sweats, everyone has the halo under their armpits, so why "sweat" it. Very Happy

When I get the oppurtunity to be in your wonderful part of the world, I like wearing the Columbia/Magellan fishing shirts. With my frame, wearing them loose is not a problem. Very Happy
