I am updating today and before I get the virtual rotten fruit thrown at me for having old info up, any recent reports from these or any other areas, would certainly be appreciated.

Thanks!

Fished this morning and did very well with reds on a spoon! I'll just say it was between those areas. Laughing Laughing

Gee Will....I am not sure that is what they had in mind but whatever floats our boat or kayak or?I am digging out my gold spoons and heading that way as I type this.
My neighbor is doing most of his catching on the backside of St. Joes and around Mud Island. Mostly reds with some trout. Using cut mullet for the reds and artificials for the trout....usually doa under a cork.
A few reports from my buddy that drifts Estes Flats. Work with the wind and use your drift sock or two or three and there are scattered fish, again mostly reds.
Wading the 188 bridge on Port Bay early(very early) has produced some trout on live shrimp under a popping cork with a red every once in a while. My wading neighbor usually fishes off the highway ribbon at the old motel on 188 and once in a while will wade the Bayside of the bridge heading out towards the duck blind(s).
Hope this helps.
Up here in Freeport right now the jetties are packed, the wind is blowing out of the North and the surf has layed down for a change. Heading S on Tuesday and maybe a little better fishing.....conditions wise.
Hope this helps!

Scouted from bob hall south yest....lots of weed, fishing difficult, water w/ nice clarity, schools of 20 or so mullet together running north in the 1 st gut all day....walked out to end of bob hall around 5 pm and the usual customers showing up, saw one big king caught, a jack, and earlier they had caught a 6' hammerhead. Then worked farther north on s. packery to fish the evening bite...started seeing 60-80 lb tarpon rolling in the outgoing tide....freelined a live mullet to jump a nice tarpon, and gill plate must have cut my fluro....saw a huge king explode 6' out of the air. I think their eating menhaden mostly... Its nice to see the creatures playing.

SATURDAY / B & R flats
Was hoping we would have winds for the weekend like we had Friday, NOT. Headed out to Brown and Root flats about 7:30am to find the winds blowing a good 15 mph. Made many drifts without seeing a single fish except schools of pony mullet. Fished top waters in protected coves and DOA gold glitters without a bite. Met up with my mom who had been out for about an hr before me and mentioned a school of nice size reds swim by her earlier but spooked before she could get a cast off.

SUNDAY / LHL
Decided to paddle over to LHL to some protected areas from the repeated winds from Saturday. Fished several shorelines without seeing any fish again. Found a few deeper channels and tried but nothing, Wish I had a more positive report.
