im gonna try to save some cash and rent the digger for the gas line we will have the plumbing company do the tie in.
My question is how close to the tap do i get the trencher.. the gas line is buried and will have to be tapped by the city (300)$
I dont wanna get too close, yet close enough.. any input.. i tried calling the city but they give me runaround and noone seems to know... they pawn it off on the plumber.... |

I don't know about Corpus but in San Antonio they free service (Dig Test)that finds where you can dig or not. Perhaps Corpus has that service and can tell you how close you can dig with the trencher. If it were me, I would give myseld several feet just to safe. A back ache is easier to recover from than 3rd degree burns.

that's a state wide service.
call 1-800-dig-tess
all lines (pipeline, utility, electric, fiber optic) have 48 hours to get back with you to let you know what's in the area. |
