Whatsup Everybody,

Greetings from me, myself, and I. Because who else would fish through a front every time they go? I guess me! I missed making a trip last month due to that cold cotton-picking weather we had, plus I had to sell the crappy Jeep Spankler and rig the Dodge aka the TANK for becoming the FINAL and last beach rig. So a trip was in order, and I wanted to go this whole week and just deal with whatever happened. Because when it comes down to it, that's just what we like about fishing isn't it? After loading up Monday after some late minute preparations, I immediately went to the Mexican restaurant next to my house to take one last look for the week at HOT babes that I could never ever aquire. I mean, to get breakfast. Moving on. Cool

Getting to the blacktop, I liked what I saw. The water would prove to be murky for the first 15 miles and you guessed it, WEEDY. The driving sucked as bad as my strikeout last week with the waitress at the Reckless Kelly concert, and I knew I was looking at a four hour drive, but hey at least the fish never say "I'm kindof with somebody!" Moving on a second time now. Cool

The weather was actually decent.

The beach looked good.

I almost hooked onto one of these to spend the week in STYLE!

The pimp-wagon in full duty mode.

Yarborough passable.

Water looking good.

After fifteen hundred kidney bumps, I decided to mansfield migrant it to the fishing spot! Or not...

The 50s looked better as far as driving went.

Not surprisingly the water in the cut looked awesome.

Annnnd camp was chosen.

Annnnnd coolers were rapidly filled!

Annnnd primo shark baits were officialy put on the beach!

The nighttime bite was incredible, due to the all day high water finally moving out and the current starting to run.

And the next morning brought NASTINESS.

However the baits were reset and run out.

And sharks were put on the beach.

And the legend of the nasty smelling wetsuit continued.

And the weed was fun.

And the day moved along.

And the hat of all pimping was procured much to the delight of only myself.

Single women flee.

And for once, I brought food. It was glorious.

And then the night bite started out in injury. A nice catfish spine through the knuckle. I almost asked for seconds.

And my little ghost crab buddies came back to chill and listen to my totally awesome George Jones greatest hits with me.

He was nicknamed E.T.

And the weed goodness continued.

And the third morning brought more nastiness.

I planned on heading to the jetties due to the front coming through mid morning.
Dead turtles stopped me.

The bite at the jetty was awesome, flounder and reds. Water so clear I could watch my lure bounce along the rocks on the bottom and actually see the reds hit it. Cool!
And I left to do some exploring.

And before I knew it, it was the end of the week, and it was time to roll out! Brewster's will be filled with babes and I don't hardly think the fish are better looking at this point anyway! Off the beach I went.

The sunrises have been great.

Dead dolphin.

This one is for Rudy, the Nicaragua GURU!!!!

There's a lot more that went on including a pack of coyotes running through my camp like wild dogs. Birds pooping on my head and rabid wasps coming out of the dunes and chasing me through the weed. But what can be said? Like everything else, the past is dead and gone, and all we have is the future. As for me, I can only hope the next trip will be as peaceful, productive, and educational. After all, at the end of every endeavour on this beautiful beach we are so lucky to have and use, that is all we can hope for.

Signing off,

Colin

That was epic, Colin! I can smell the sargassum and hear the laughing gulls. Did the hardhead end up in your ice chest for spite? Very Happy

Tow Boat Trash, I'm speechless, finally.
(Not so much, maybe)
Hot diggity dang TbT,
That was you in your own skin and the Super Kool Hat
With the fish stuck knuckle sitting in an inner tube making
Your own way to the homeland with the birds of the air laughing.

Don't forget that journey. It's good baggage to carry.
A multidimensional report of epic proportion that.
George Jones says so.

Nick, Brenda Meyer, and Gary Bujak and I were fishing at Yarborough with finger mullet and catching trout, a flounder and some reds. Gary aka Hardhead and I ran out of finger mullet. About that time Hardhead caught his namesake. Since we were several hundred yards from shore we decided to cut up the hardhead for bait. Gary and I ended up with at least three more trout and a red on the cut bait. Very Happy
