Didnt see as many of the monster log trout brought in today but there was a couple nice ones.
Also didnt seem as well organized as in years past, none the less there was alot of boats entered. Got over there and there were boat trailers/trucks lined up on both sides of Laguna shores rd a good 1/4 mile past Laguna Reef. Building a big pavilion over there, took away some parking spots.
Took a couple quick cell phone pics, sorry didnt get todays leader in, was much bigger than these.
Maybe with some S/E wind tomorrow some bigger girls will show. Todays largest went 8.8lbs (not pictured) Most all released live back to the holding tanks to be released later.
Ill try to run back over there tomorrow & get some more pics. _________________ -STAY THIRSTY MY FRIENDS!- |

| Who won this years Baffin Bay Bash? The usual big name fishermen were not in this years tournament for what ever reason. I also heard the number of teams registered was low compared to the past years tournament and thats because we had great weather for the two day tournament. Could it possible be that the payout is not there compared to the entry fees $600 2-man team with late reg fee or economics being a two day expenses, fuel cost, etc...? |

no big names this year????? Rowsey and Holt??? I think they qualify as big names. Congratulations guys. She must have been a true beast. And thanks to both of you for everything you have done in terms of helping our trout fishery. WTG! _________________ ...if my boss ever finds this forum I'll be unemployed... |

Rowsey is a local name I consider it a big name. Congrats Rowsey and Holt. I hope a local takes all.... Not some hot sauce made in, well, you know, up north. ....IMS _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

| I would say that Rowsey is probably one of our areas best trout fisherman and I don't think I would have much argument against that> |

Thanks for the nice words, guys. We barely scratched it out, but managed to keep it in the Bluff. For the record, the trout were feeding really good on this warming trend, and I think they were as tired as me of all this cold weather. Weather looks warm all week, y'all go get 'em.... I know I am.
