I think you are all over looking something. A while back you voted to have a yearly election in stead of 2 separate voting times in a year. Also nothing is being done to the south side of packery because ding dong still wants to lease that property for his resort. Now with only voting coming once there will be more people voting and more voters with no interest in beach driving. I would expect to see a bill or what ever you call them to come up for eliminating the beach driving vote and giving ding dong his private beach.

Sorry to hear that Rabbit, you all that live on that area and use it at will should stand up and let your voices be heard. I hate when they ban anything in the name of conservation (since there are so many nuts that eat that up like if it were fried shrimp) just to turn around and privatize to limit the kind of people that can enjoy those "wonderful" "natural" resources.
Privatizing anything only gives money to one group of people or as the late George Carlin would say, “It’s a big club and you ain't in it."

Rabbit is right ...all the parking lots/restrooms, etc. are going in on the
north side. The south side amenities are not being worked on...and yes,
the one person is trying to turn the south side into his private area development beach. The same person has also expressed interest in the leasing of whatever other GLO land is surrounding the channel area...
once he found out it could be leased. Those who want to keep the beach driving on the south side, parking on the south side, and restrooms on the south side need to start emailing the City Council demanding that
the planned parking and restrooms for the south side be put in at the same rate as those on the north side.
