I have driven by The Oso, Laguna Madre and the tide is very low there too.
Is this normal?
When are we due for the high tides again?
Does anyone know?

when the wind stops blowing out of the N the water starts coming back in the laguna..
I went yesterday also.. and yes its very low.. but it made it for easy fishin.. |

Yea, I know.... Smart-arse answer.
Technically, this is the secular excursion tide, or the winter low. Expect things to be "low" for awhile (and the north winds don't help much). The bays will fill back up to the "spring highs" (not to be confused with the monthly 'spring' tides that are associated with the declination of the moon more so than the phase of the moon) come March and April. |
