|
|
| Been telling my bud's up in san antonio about the reds we've been getting on PINS the last few weekends and theyre going to head down tomorrow (friday). Now it looks like pins may be pretty rough tomorrow according to buddahead's report (thanks for the info btw) so i'm curious if anyone has any advise where to go. Would it be best to try to stick it out with the weeds & no current? Head way down south? or just not even mess with pins? Just wondering what others have planned for tomorrow. |

Im wondering the same thing...I know there is major weed to the 40mm and was wondering if it was clear past that or still a lot of weed to the jetty? Should I even mess with a weekend trip? or take the boat out in the bays....

| Don't know what to tell you about the surf but I fished the ULM today and came back with 10 specks and 2 sand trout using rootbeer shrimptails. All caught in 4-6 ft of water. I think tomorrow will be even better. |

Not bad considering the conditions, high pressure & NNE wind. Friday winds back out of the SE should be alot better everywhere. _________________ -STAY THIRSTY MY FRIENDS!- |

Staring out the window at work, looking at the bay. Beautiful.
West wind at 5 mph. Pressure just under 30.00.

Ya, but I dont feel so bad now. Buddy just called and said they fished up to the 15mm soaking live finger mullet and fishbites all day and didnt have any takers. Said the weed was thick up close, but was still fishable. Still would have been nice to get a line wet tho. |

| can anyone tell me what ULM means, I was out on the flats today with my boat that I just bought and we did good with reds. I am learning how to fish down here, and learning fast. I just used live shrimp, my friends used fresh dead and I hammered them. Got my camera out today and will take some pictures next time and try to post them. |

ULM= Upper Laguna Madre. Which covers anywhere from Rockport to Baffin Bay depending on who you talk to. So ULM is not really saying much, more like saying "in the water"
Lower Laguna Madre acually starts south of Marker 21 in the Landcut and runs to Port Isabel according to TPWD
http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/publications/pwdpubs/media/pwd_br_v3400_1160a.pdf
so anywhere north of there would be ULM. Thats alot of water. _________________ -STAY THIRSTY MY FRIENDS!- |
