coworker stated his brother in law never tells him where he fishes.
I told him based on the pic he sent him I would probably find the exact spot. Lol!
Anyone on the forum recognize this area?

First off, sounds like he needs to kick his brother in-law's supple bum for being such a jerk! LOL. Looks like somewhere all the road between padre and port a off to side in the flat area. Looks like a resort in the back ground.

Looks like the Oso to me.... I fished that area a lot when I went to college down there.

I'd catch 2 or 3 trout and two or three reds almost daily back there in the spring and fall. Never had much luck in the summer.

Then you could go over to the channel in late February and early March and destroy the flounder.

Find the mullet and you found the fish.

From Google Earth...worked with the positioning and there is definitely some asphalt lined up that would support the angle of his picture and where he is standing.

I'm with Chef Lefty here. He is fishing Shamrock Cove/Flats and using the oilfield road to put in half way down Wilson's Cut on the south side of the channel.

Definitely Port Royal in the back ground. If I had to guess, that picture was taken here: 27.741069, -97.136768

It's Shamrock alright but it isn't the oilfield road to the south. They are using the road that is north of Wilson's Cut. There is a dirt road that runs next to some cattle pens that dumps out in the back of Shamrock on the north end. that's where they are. the second picture locates it better for me.

I think I'm pretty close to where the photos originated.
