Waylan called again to see if I wanted to go along on a duck hunting trip so took the camera this time. We just went a little ways south of the JFK bridge, he hunted there in our "backyard" day before and got a limit of redheads so went back to same spot.
Left Billings ramp at 3:15 and was there in 10min.
1st job setting out the decoys.
Pic of the boat he built. Yep all homemade and runs super shallow.
This stand decoy has a elec motor in it & wings rotate constantly. Pretty cool.
Has a neat dog. A Visla trained very and loves its job.
After about an hr flocks started showing up non stop. All we saw were redheads, to bad limit only 2.
Dakota waiting on command to let go.
Some real ones mixed in with the decoys.
Sun going down over the backyard, time to head in.
Had a good time out there today. Thanks Waylan. hope for some Pin-tails
next trip. _________________ -STAY THIRSTY MY FRIENDS!- |

| Cool! Nice pics. I am getting the urge to hunt ducks again. Maybe Porkfetus, Romann, GuyR and or Roadkill Willie will give it a shot again this year. |

Plans are already in the works. looked at my decoys the other day. located my steel shot, waders, boots, and cold weather gear. Romann needs to get that little sex-sled back from being lent out. Willie's in and almost ready himself. _________________
