My old man and me went down Saturday. As we got on the beach the water was discusting. Very dirty and it was rough. I didn't want to go down too far but we kept going south hoping for better conditions. As the water started looking a LOT better we ran into Steve Honc and a bunch of his friends just hammering some red fish. The bite was wide open. We were there less than ten minutes talking to him and they caught two while we were there. We left, went down about another mile and set up shop. The reds were still bitingand the battle Jacks were out in force.

My dad also caught this really nice hardhead:

So it started to get dark so i rigged up some baits:

Now, we put out two 10lb sections of fresh jack. Both got picked up and dropped and then both got cut off. Maybe kingfish, maybe bluefish of maybe mister teeth swam into it. Either way, i work nights so I had been up all night and all day and was dead to the world til about 9am Sunday. Sunday morning we started catching pompano(no pics) and caugt about a dozen or so. Started paddling baits out after respooling a shark rod.

Caught two:

Cute little bull

This is what he ate

My buddy Lalo showed up to get his first surf shark ever. Nice Black Tip

All in all it was a great weekend. The best part was me getting some quality time with my dad! God Bless!

Eric

We were right at the 41. The beach was great driving except for about 8 or nine miles in the twenties as it's been for a while now. I'm already itching to get back down there. Will put the floats on my leaders for sure from now on. I had 'em just disn't use 'em.

Not much wish I was back on the pins fishing. If the weather is good we are going in two weeks.
