A friend and I wen down to the 17 mm this morning. Surf was running about 3 ft and there was a strong north current. There was some weed in the 2nd gut and it would hang up on the long lines. We caught a 18" blue, 2' black tip, a bunch of small 12" lady fish, several whitings and hardheads. Also caught two hand size pomps. We were using cut mullet and whiting for bait. Didn't see any bait in the surf so you may want to get some before hitting the beach. Another friend went yesterday and caught live mullet at Y Pass. With the rough conditions, just couldn't see anything in the water and I don't enjoy throwing a cast net blind!
Driving wasn't bad. |

| Thanks! I guess the finger mullet hadn't made it that far yet from South of Bob Hall as they were thick last evening. |
