Running out of fishing opportunities before I start 6 weeks of seven twelves, I was determined to fish this weekend and chose today to do so.
I am happy to be able to report that I was not the only fool out on the water. Started off with only a stiff breeze that was soon joined by a slow drizzle that gradually turned into a steady drizzle that gradually turned into.....well if you have been awake today, you know what I am talking about.

Tide was way up and the fishing was slow, but I had my rain gear on and I stuck it out till about twelve when I saw the really heavy rains approaching. Loaded up and got out just before they hit. The drive in got hairy after exiting off of SPID. The access road was flooded and so were a number of cars. Did not get any better when I got onto Weber....more of the same. My chevy PU managed just fine and got me home. My street was flooded and had to wait for a couple of young kayakers to get out of the way. I think the young boy wanted to ride the bow wave being pushed off the front of my truck.

The wife took this picture after I made it home. You can barely make out the kayak across the river....I mean street.

Oh yeah...the fishing trip was not a complete waste

Did you catch that in the street? Shocked Wish we could catch them like that in SA when it rains that hard. Laughing

Thanks for the report.
