| I usually only get down there one four day weekend in October and this is how our luck usually goes - the wade gut can be full of slot reds and an occasional bull. We ususally get our bulls right on the first bar or just right past it. We never seem to get a bite any further out. Also almost all reds are caught on either whiting or mullet cut or alive, no artificials. They do come by in schools. |

I have caught some monsters in the surf past the first gut, especially in Oct. I have a whole collection of bull red leaders for yakking baits out in the fall. Of course you can catch them closer in as well during this time. _________________ "Ya'll must eat a lot of fish" |

last year mid october, during the "red tide", my buddies and I landed countless bulls and slot reds in the wade gut. Never thru one bait further then that. we were at the pm channel surf side. _________________ All we have is time and time is all we have to fear |
