Does not necessarily catch the best fish. I can say that the little reds and trout were out in force, though. Put in behind the church @6:45 am and found bait everywhere. Nervous finger mullet were in tight little schools and running all over the place. I would cast behind them and catch rat reds almost every time. I managed one keeper and one oversized redfish with about twenty reds at around 18 inches, and a few undersized trout.
Was fun to catch so many reds, did get VERY wet, but was not cold.

Thanks for the report. Hows the road going back there? Its usually pretty good for 2wd but I wasn't sure with the rain. Thought about going back there or kayakin out cc pass this weekend but football kinda won me over.

It's muddy, but as long as you don't drive a corvette you'll be alright.

| Nice report! I hit that spot up Thursday and caught about 11 little trout and thats about it. Seems like that spot does better really early the morning. |

I think it is hilarious to see some of the vehicles on Mustang Island. I've seen a Porshe stuck to it's fenders.
