| Was out fishing yesterday by King ranch shoreline and noticed large dead mullet floating every where. Can any one fill me in on why this is? |

fished bird island and a few miles north of there, same thing. MONSTER sized horse mullet floating upside down (thought they were drum at first!) one after another along the ICW and the adjacent flats. Saw about 20 between 7-11am. _________________ ...if my boss ever finds this forum I'll be unemployed... |

Long as its just mullet, we got lots of them. Reminds me of a joke somewhere down the line. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

If you haven't contacted the TP&W you might want to do so, they are always interested in any fish kills....

we were fishing along the icw last tuesday and for about an hour, big mullet 10-12 alongside one another were cruising along. would scatter as our topwaters ran thru them, reassemble and continue cruising.
maybe a fast prop ran thru them.

| The ICW was so packed with them two weekends ago I wouldn't surprised if they may just be getting hit with props. There are plenty of boats doing some high speeds these days. |
