| I'm bringing the family down for a long weekend and am looking for a good seafood place, or a good food place of any kind. I don't want anything trendy, just good food and cold beer. Any suggestions??? |

| Laguna Reef at the end of laguna shores in the Bluff has good food and reasonably price and is on the water. Snoopy's on the other side of the causeway is good, more expensive and need cash only. It overlooks the laguna from the east to west. |

I always take visitors to Snoopy's Pier. You have to get the fried fish there, either the fish & chips or the larger fish order and a side of fries. The grilled stuff fails.
My niece, and her three girls from KC visited last week. She remembered Snoopy's from her visit 4 years earlier and could not wait to get back. She had craved the fish and considered it a benchmark.
Go near sunset and sit outside where you can watch the barges and the pelicans working the water.

Some good shrimp tacos along with other items I enjoy Fajita Junction on Staples and Saratoga. Cold beer and good food. I think I know where I am going tomorrow night. thanks _________________ Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience. |

| The food at Laguna Reef has gone down in quality lately. Used to eat there about once a week. The last 2 times I was really disappointed, especially with the calamari. Overcooked and dry. |

Snoopy's is good food, no a/c . Laguna Reef good food a/c. I like snoopys when the weather cools off. I have heard the Baja coast is a good place to eat. I personally prefer to take a drive and go to the big Fisherman really good food not to pricy 16 bucks for a seafood platter fried or broiled. I have always wanted to try Lat. 28.02 in Rockport maybe oneday.
Its nice to take a drive and get out for a couple of hours. IMS _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

Snoopy's has a 3 beer max....something I feel responsible for having something to do with back in the '90's _________________

Snoopy's is good but mostly fried. I even heard they will fry your tee-shirt. L.R. is good too. Here's another place to consider, Scuttlebutt's just after the ICW bridge, on the left towards the island is a cold beer, good food and watch the game kind of place. |

I was beginning to think I was the only one that felt that way. The last 2 times I've gone to Laguna Reef, the food has been 2nd rate and the service has been 3rd rate. I just stopped going there.
Alice Faye's in Rockport/Fulton used to be really good. They've also turned into a big disappointment. I went to Marcel's in PA last week and was pleasantly surprised. Good food, medium prices. _________________ HighTide
