Holy Cr@p, Batman!!! Shocked

Just got back from an exploratory trip to SPJ, and I've got to say that the "beach" as a whole is in just about as bad a shape as I can remember in some time!

Should have known that the water color would be off, with the new Bob Hall cam and all, I can check it out from the Office; but to see the tides that far out (and it's not even really low tide yet) and the amount of stinking, rotting Sargassum stuck in the corner by the jetties (not to mention the entire dune-line covered in rotting Sargassum!!)...... ewwwwww..... Visibility has to be a solid inch, maybe inch and 1/2!?!?!

No diving for me, at least not for the near future. Evil or Very Mad

Need a good south/southeast wind to blow all the fresh/brown water from the Rio Grande out.

Yeah, looks like it will be another week before I'll be headed down there...

Been waiting for (half-decent) conditions, for several weeks now... Crying or Very sad

Caught a couple of nice Stripers last week, night fishing private marina on Lake Travis...

But itching for some Sun and a little Sand between my toes... Smile
