Folks
I would like to ask your advice on rigging the Sand Eel Jr.
I have a few ideas for bayfishing rigs(wading) but I want to make sure I'm not killing the action of the lure. A picture or illustration would be most helpful. I'm not trying to steal anyone's thunder or secrets... just want to get it right.
Much obliged. |

Use jighead like these:
Lay the hook along side the bait to visualize where to push the hook point out. Push the hook directly in middle at top of bait and out the side while threading plastic onto screw wire.
Most use leader with swivel below main line to keep down line twist particularlky if usisng spinning tackle.
Key is to get bait runniong straight behind the jighead with little tendency to spin.
Do this with any salt water soft plastic |
