Sapo's Grape leaf recipe reminds me of a recipe I like to make.
I buy a large container of large basil leaves(this uses about half the leaves) and stuff them with this mixtue: 1 pound ground pork, 1 large shallot(finely diced), grated lemon zest(1 teaspoon), good shake of salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix everything well. Spoon a small amount onto a big basil leaf and roll up like a left-handed cigar. Cool I use tooth picks to hold them together. Fry them in oil at about 350. Takes about 6-7 minutes. You can see the basil turning dark when they are done. The pork is done through and the basil crisps up nicely. I serve it with a combo of soy and fish sauce with orange juice(about equal parts). Try it you'll like it.
