| Fished the grass flats on the south shore of Baffin Sunday morning. I was looking to sight cast to Tailing reds but saw nothing from first light to about 9. I did find the trout, caught 12 or 13 from 15 - 20 inches in about an hour and a half. Hooked into my first ladyfish on the fly, what a fight. I now know why they call it the poor man's Tarpon. Anyone out there know where the reds are in Baffin? Last year this time you could find them on the grass from sunrise to about 8. Fly of choice was a orange VIP popper. |
