I was wondering if anyone could share a couple of areas to park (safely...no vehicle theft/soft sand) and wade flats? Flats that have a few fish.....not looking for honey holes....just a couple of places to save us the time of driving around wondering. I've been down there a few times, I stay on the naval station, but usually fish the surf or the lighted pier on the backside of NAS at night. I'd like to fish the flats once or twice this time around. Any advice is greatly appreciated! I'll share any info I find out in great detail |

| Lots of wading on the NAS property. The area near the 4 communication buildings is excellent. You can wade out to the point where the boat hole empties into CC Bay. Been seeing reds there in the evenings. |

You can wade on NAS. I generally start at the boat ramp an go out to the point and back (left of the ramp). I grab a bite to eat for lunch then go back out depending on if the bite is good I might stay over there, or I'll head to the right of the ramp and head out towards the bridge. I have had many great trips in both areas.... _________________ Good things come to those who Bait! |

Check out OSO bay ... wade out to the channel.
Watch and see where others go.

Look to the left side of this website. There is a great link for wading and kayaking locations.
I also agree with Tyler on the book. _________________ Dreams come true to those that work while they Dream. |

Are you referring to Ray Crawford's book?
That book makes it too easy! ... ... _________________ Willee 361-563-1303 |

Sorry for the confusion. Apparently I had just read the other post then read this one.
My reference was to the Crawford book ................that Tyler refered to in the other post.
Just trying to help 2 others get into the wonderful world of wade fishing.
Hope they read the replies from all and have some luck. _________________ Dreams come true to those that work while they Dream. |
