First Annual VFT (Virtual Fishing Tournament)
Disclaimer
All forum members participating in this event hereby agree to hold harmless corpusfishing.com, moderators, advertisers, tournament official (Chef Lefty) and sponsors as a result of participating in this virtual event. Further, all forum members participating in this virtual event represent that they are in and will remain in compliance with any and all local, state and national laws in and through the participation of this virtual event.
Rules
To quality as a participant in the VFT, you must be a member of Corpusfishing.com by Wednesday, May 26, 2010, 11:59 p.m.
Thursday, May 27, 2010 at 6:00am CST, the virtual tournament begins.
The virtual fishing tournament begins Thursday and culminates Sunday, June 6, 2010 at sunset. Sunset is the end of the official virtual "weigh in" and concludes the tournament.
Anyone that is a qualified member of the Corpusfishing.com forum based on the rule above can participate and there is no cost. The winner in each division will receive a $25 Academy Gift Card (as well as a title…I guess).
The 2 divisions will be judged strictly by length, not weight. Awards given for longest trout and longest slot red fish. In addition, there will be a drawing of all remaining participants who posts their catch to the tournament thread. This person will receive a $25 Academy Gift Card as well.
To verify your catch you must post a photo to this tournament thread on Corpusfishing.com as follows:
Lay the fish on the ground or a table and take a photo that includes a piece of paper that has your Corpusfishing.com profile name, the date of the catch, the words "Corpusfishing.com", as well as have a ruler (in inches) next to the fish. Optionally, you can also include a photo of you with the fish so the other competitors to see your mug. The closer the fish to the ruler the better.
The tournament official has the final say in determining the validity of all photos, as well as determining the winners. Any virtual ties will go to the participant who posted their catch first. Tournament official also reserves the right to clarify rules.
There is only a small gift card at stake here, so no cheating, let's just have some fun! _________________
