Went out to north packery channel today with a few light tackel reels.
With last weeks rains that put a black cloud on my vacation, i was dying to give it a try on this gorgeous day. I only had a few hours to fish and im glad i went. Caught some macks and whitiing, saw one pomp and a abundance of bait.schools of mullet and some rain minnows. The water was un believable with no sea weed. and current. I caught most of my fish with man o lures and gotcha plugs it was faster. Had live shrimp but didnt use it.just to much fun on lures. Heres some photos.
MADDIE LOOKING OUT FOR BAIT.
Nice day left them bitting. finished with 8 macs enough for supper. _________________ ''ONE LAST CAST''

Nice pics and fish Surfdragon. Those smacks taste alot better if you run the tip if your knife down each side of that bone strip and blood line and throw it away, just leaving long strips of white mild tasting fish. |

Dude.............................. that SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good fishing or no, I just like seeing through the water and knowing what's down there, be it sand, rock, fish or whatever. That's what I enjoy most about going to Destin. A murky day there is as clear as what's in the pics! I have honestly walked out to the end of the west jetty at Destin pass ( a TREACHEROUS undertaking!!!) and sight fished for sheepshead in 20+' of water, while watching them take the hook!!!! _________________ Dave

hey gotmullet, if u took pics w/ur camera phone, u could send them to ur email address and then save and post on here. all u gotta do is instead of putting #'s in the send area, just type in ur email address.
i didn't know this till a couple of weeks ago when i didn't get to take the wife's (yes i said wife's) digital camera with me fishing. a buddy of mine told me how to do it.
