Got me a new toy. Needs a little work, but the price was right.

Any bass fisherman on this site?

Sweet! Congrats on your purchase. I just caught a bass this Saturday down at Zapata (Falcon Lake). It weight 8 lb 8 oz. The fight was great. I reeled it in from about 30 feet from me with its head shaking side to side; I thought it was going to spit out the large tilapia crankbait I was using. I hit falcon as much as I can, usually every other weekend. Good fishing!

Gamblers are/were built to be fast bass rigs with Kevlar behind the hull glass and in the transom for strength. I have no idea if the kevlar did anything for the boat strength.

They were originaly built in Poteau Oklahoma by a group lead by Bill Norman. Bill passed away and they were bought out by a group that moved them to FL (???) maybe..... That was in the early 90's havent heard or read anything about them in a long time. I am not sure they are still in business.

We're going to convert it for saltwater fishing. Re-wire everthing and put an aluminum trailer under it. It should ride comfortable to the cut and back. And get there in a hurry. Should be good for trolling the drop off. It'll work great for my trips to Amistad & Falcon. I think we'll name it the STX Bass-Turd. Laughing

Tyler, I'll let you know when the summer pattern starts at falcon and you'll have to run down there with us.

Like that you can pretty much walk around the entire boat without having to step up and down. Sweet.
