Yes we did pick up a few plastic bags floating in the ULM... Evil or Very Mad

I think it's time to stop shopping at stores that furnish plastic bags....
We really need to go back to paper.....Academy...etc.

mike, the problem stems from the average person. he does the same thing whether he is in his big pickup or his boat. leave the trash, drive fast and the wind cleans out your pickup bed or your boat. you just can't fix S T U P I D. maybe we need a law to protect the genes.

I couldn't agree more! Plus, paper biodegrades and dissolves in water.

I really don't think that most of the people on this board need to be reminded to pick after themselves and everyone else.

It seemed like everyother plastic bag we rescued from drowning in the ULM today had ACADEMY in big blue letters on it......and that was a butt load of plastic....

Just pisses me off...but I feel better now that I got this rant off my chest..

So now I have a new job for my clients...after we catch fish we pick up plastic bags... Very Happy ...nothing wrong with that..

if I see them I pick them up...My first experience with a plastic bag came while breaking a brand new motor in. I was in the channel and the temp warning started to scream and I was freaking out. No water coming out of pee hole and had a freaking bag wrapped around the intakes. Simple common sense is the problem as well as people who just don't care once one accidentally gets out.

There is a very simple solution: Email all City Council members urging them to pass a rule outlawing stores using give-away plastic bags. Several cities around the country and even in Texas have already done this. Many stores already offer reusable cloth bags, HEB's bags sell for 99 cents, a little more if you get the ones with the Cowboys or Spurs logo.
