Fishing ahead of the front and high winds paid off last Tuesday and Wednesday.
Found a good drum bite on both days with a few redfish mixed in.
All were caught on fresh dead shrimp.
Chris.

You da man! I've never caught a speck on dead shrimp in my life! Rolling Eyes Years back the big specks were wearing it out in the second gut/first bar at BHP on the windward side only. They were hitting NOTHING but live shrimp. I tried using big, fresh dead shrimp hooked just like a live one and never even had a bump! Embarassed

Last January (2009) I was fishing Y-Pass and getting some reds/black drum when I caught a 20 inch speck on dead shrimp. Go figure. I caught a whiting back there also. Maybe it had 4WD too..heh.

Good haul there Chris.

I know several guys who've caught giant trout in Baffin on dead shrimp. They just aren't big on the internet.
