Be careful. I spent the the night at the cabin Sunday night, and when I came back on Monday to find my window on my suburban busted out. They took a bunch of stuff out of my suburban, but mine was the only one touched in the lot of 7 or 8 cars. They tried to break one window and couldn't, then smashed the driverside window with enough force to blow glass over the middle seats into the back.

When I went to do the report at the ranger station they said that there had been 2 breakins on Friday night and 2 on Saturday. The ranger I talked to was really great and is working to catch these guys, but just wanted to warn everyone who might overnight out there right now that they have a pretty bad rash of punks on their hands.

Hope they catch them and cut off their hands. This BS has got to stop. The U.S. is TOO SOFT on crime!!!!!!!!!

Saw on TV last night, Murder in a hate crime and the self admitted murderer only got 10 years in jail!!!

I got to thinking about being followed by one of the new rangers that one time out at Bird Island when I drove in to check on the new bollards. Now that I think about it, the guy probably was just doing his job thinking I was some unsavory character out there in the boat ramp with no boat driving an old suburban. I might have looked like someone about to break in to a vehicle. So, we ought to let them do their jobs at some point and let them know when they overstep.

Carry on!

TT

If I drove onto bird Island in my beat up old '91 ford F150 with no tail gate and junk in the bed, I KNOW what would happen.

I don't worry too much about break-ins, because who would possibly want my truck?

I worry about suspicious Park Rangers, though.
