Got off to a slow start.Didn't arrive untill noon and stayed for about three
and half hours. The wind is back blowing out of the south east. And are forcasted to even turn up all the way to 40 mph later in the week,
Acording to the news.Went to the tip of the north jetty and waves were pounding up over the rocks.Getting drinched for a while i pulled back around the three quarter mark and fished the protected surf side.
Water was green on that side with finger mullet running south. There was a fellow that i took some photos off, that fished the windy color changed water of the inside channel. He was using a rattle trap, see photos of which one he was using. He just had a blast catching trout, snook. and a spanishmackeral with that lure. Saw about three tarpon rolling on the surf greener side. Bait i used were live finger mullet,Another friend of mine caught three reds on cut mullet. For a windy day it turned out allright.
Here are some photos of the day. Cool

Nice looking reds. Looks like the jetty was empty.

I had two bigger poles and i caught and lost every thing on my small set ups with 10 lb test. Go figure. Cool I think i left around that time and it slowed down and finger mullet were scarce, But i did notice the south jetty was picking up when i was leaving.Bait was inside the channell and the pelicans were diving after them. Cool

I've had good luck with them on the "dinks" on Charlies pasture.
Chrome/Blue or Gold, not the color he was using, I'll have to try that.
Being as they're more freshwater baits, you'll need to kep an eye on the hooks.
Last trip, even with rinsing them, next time I took them out of my box the hooks were trashed.
