Headed out hoping for some of the rain that they were predicting but no luck. Still seemed to keep a lot of the traffic off the water though. Fished around the rocks and caught some nice reds, small trout and decent Mangroves. The smallest trout was right at 15" but he was gut hooked and when I pulled it out he had another hook right next to it. The reds were full of 2-3" crabs. Overall a great day.

It might be time to get out the fat mama Spooner lures at Packery, hint hint, outgoing tide, hint.

Thanks for the report!

Mullet for the trout and snappers. Pin perch for the reds. I was using whatever I could castnet up.

Best luck was weighted down and cast out away from the rocks. The current is different then the jetties and when I freeline here I always get hung up.
