I am wanting to tie some fluorocarbon leaders in 30 and 20 pound test. What brand of fluorocarbon line are you guys using? I have been using mono or wire and have not tried the fluorocarbon yet. Thanks, ET _________________ Make time for the important things in life. ET

Ohero flouro to Power Pro or Ohero braid. Ohero is imported by a guy here in Tampa and is some good stuff. If I remember, I'll bring some for Robul and let him give it "The Bluff" Test!!! _________________ Wanna be Bluffian!! Stay thirsty, my friends!!!! |

I haven't found any brand to be better than the next, but remember it's stregnth and purpose and apply that to where or what you are fishing for like any other leader.
I use
25# in the bays and surf
50# on the jetties and when lots of smacks are around
I use an Albright if I tie at the house and a uni-uni if I break off or a swivel |

Have had terrible luck with uni to uni with large differences in diameter, like 8 lb power pro (wicked thin) to 20lb fluoro. Seems my knots fail with a decent fish on, I think the power pro cuts the flouro.
Tried the Simple Simon knot. It rocks, and I can tie it hung over and haven't lost anything. LOL.
Anyway, a good friend of mine who is japanese says that the available flouro here in the states sucks. He imports some jap stuff that he says is badazz. He's getting me a spool, will try it out. _________________ Jeff
